Washington State University Tree Fruit Extension will host several pre-harvest tours across the central portion of the state this week.  The tour starts Monday at Hayden Farms in the Finley area and move to WSU Prosser.  Where WSU will talk about Powdery Mildew, Little Cherry Disease, Automated Blossom Thinning and more.

Then on Thursday, the tour transitions to Royal Slope.  There WSU will focus on organic cherry production in blocks ranging from three to 24 years old.  And WSU Extension Specialist Tianna Dupont will offer a presentation on Little Cherry Disease, and Gwen Honeisel will discuss the latest sprayer technology.

Then the week-long tour wraps up in Oroville.  WSU will see Black Pearl planted in 2009 a few days before harvest.  And Dr. Gary Grove will demonstrate good spray coverage impacts on powdery mildew management.
