The Center for Latino Farmers will host a Conference on Thursday in Yakima.  Organizers said "Family Farms and Successes," is geared toward farmers, ranchers and other farm operators.

 

The Farm Conference runs from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Yakima Convention Center.  Scheduled topics include:

  • Agriculture industry
  • Food safety and production
  • USDA loan programs
  • H-2A farmworker programs
  • Labor shortages
  • Tariffs
  • Drought, water

Representative Dan Newhouse is also scheduled to speak.  The event is open to the public with registration.
