They call it the Best Week of Summer.  The Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo kicks of Tuesday in Kennewick.

“Our fair is amazing, in that we have the exhibits," said Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo Queen Haley Cook.  "We have the carnivals, we have the greasy fair food, we have the rodeo, so, we have it, all, and I think to get the full experience of our fair, you need to try it all.”

Cook added the Fair is a great way for the Ag community and the non-Ag community to meet in one location, all in the name of fun.

“We have our rodeo and our FFA and 4-H exhibits, we have amazing concets that are going to be five nights.  And we also have some entertainment during the rodeo as well, which is going to be kind of new.”

The 71st annual Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo runs Tuesday through Saturday.  After her year as Rodeo Queen, Cook says she’ll attend WSU-Tri Cities where she’ll major in nursing.
