Schoesler Encouraging Washingtonians To Attend Local Fairs

It’s Fair season across the Inland Northwest.

Washington state Senator Mark Schoesler, a fifth-generation wheat farmer in Ritzville, says fairs are important to farmers and non-farmers a like.

“Fairs are part of our rich agricultural heritage, with great entertainment and learning opportunities that are good for the entire family.”

Senator Schoesler adds fairs are not only fun and social, but they serve as a great way to educate those not familiar with farming.

“They can learn that a steer is not always steak, that milk doesn’t come from Safeway, and that there is hardwork in producing the great quality food that we enjoy as Washington residents.”
