If you don’t know the name of Washington State University’s Laura Moore, you soon will.  The 33-year old is WSU’s Equestrian Team coach, but these days she’s best known as the mechanical bull riding world champion.  Last month, Laura and her husband, were in Spangle, where she noticed a flier advertising a mechanical bull championship being held in the small Palouse town.  Moore, who was one of 24 competitors, and one of only four women, held on for 57 seconds to win the buckle.  Not only did she claim the bragging rights, Moore also won a $4,500 cash prize.

By the way, the second-place finisher only made it 52 seconds.
