As we move into the final weeks of the 2019 irrigation season, good news for junior water rights holders in the Yakima Valley.  Reclamation announced this week junior rights holders will see 70% of their full allotment.  That is a 1% improvement from last month.

Despite the dry start to the summer, senior water rights were not impacted this year.  Many credit the average temperatures the region experienced during the hottest months of the year.  Water for many districts across the region will be shut off next month.
