Newhouse: NASDA Award A Great Honor

Earlier this week, the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture honored Representative Dan Newhouse with the Ambassador’s Circle Award.  The honor handed out by NASDA goes to those, as the organization puts it, provide exemplary dedication to advance NASDA’s mission.  Newhouse, who served as Director of the Washington state Department of Ag from 2009 to 2013 says this week’s award was humbling.

“It’s a huge honor, it really is, to be recognized by former peers people that I worked with, that I got to know around the county, other heads of Departments of Agriculture, it truly is an honor to be recognized by that group, and just delighted to receive that award.”

NASDA wrapped up their annual conference in New Mexico on Wednesday.
