Oil futures slipped about 2% in Monday’s trade, giving back what little gains were reported last week.  This comes as Bloomberg is reporting that China has reportedly asked for more talks with the U.S. before signing Phase One of a trade deal that announced on Friday.  In response WTI Crude slipped in Monday’s trade, holding steady in the mid $53 a barrel range.

As far as diesel prices are concerned; prices over the past week have been on the way up.  The national average for a gallon of diesel held steady at $3.00, Washington’s average increased from $3.29 to $3.32, while Oregon’s rate increased four cents to $3.20 a gallon.

As far as local lows are concerned:

  • $3.12 a gallon in the Tri-Cities
  • $3.03 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $3.09 a gallon in Quincy
  • $3.28 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $2.99 a gallon in Pendleton
  • $3.33 a gallon in Walla Walla
  • $3.09 a gallon in Yakima
