Thursday was an exciting day in Othello, as McCain Foods broke ground on a 170,000 square foot expansion project to their potato processing facility.  Company officials said the expansion should bring 180 new jobs to the Othello area.  All three Adams County Commissioners were on hand for Thursday's ground breaking.  The hope is to have the construction project wrapped up by the end of 2021.

The Washington state Potato Commission said when the new facility expansion is up and running, 11,000 additional acres of spuds will be needed.
