It may the first day of November, but the FSA is reminding growers to look ahead to December.  Farm Service Agency offices across the Northwest are reminding producers that the deadline to apply for Market Facilitation Program funding is December 6th.  MFP is a USDA program to help farmers hurt by trade retaliation.  Up to $14.5 billion has been made available through the program announced back in July.

Payments will be made to producers of certain non-specialty and Specialty crops as well as dairy producers.  That includes alfalfa hay, barley, corn, dried beans, dry peas, oats, rye, wheat and sweet cherries.

Visit the USDA's Website to learn more about the MFP program.
