No one is denying that it's an ambitious goal.

"I know that food security and getting to zero hunger is a huge challenge; it can seem overwhelming," said USDA Agricultural Research Service Administrator, Chavonda Jacobs-Young.  She and other participants at a recent 2019 world food prize panel believe, research will be essential to achieve this target.  USDA Foreign Agricultural Service Administrator Ken Isley said innovation is essential in the research sector to ensure greater food security around the globe, and also.

"What's needed really in today's world is connecting that innovation with honest dialog about the various attributes and impacts of that innovation."

Researchers added a series of strategies that are needed to sustain agriculture and nutritional diets around the world  include investing in public agricultural research and development, extension, as well as consumer education.
