During his recent trip to Mexico, Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue said he had a chance to sit down with his Mexicn counterpart, Victor Manuel Villalobos, and discuss trade, labor and a host of other farm issues.  In addition, an invitation was sent out.

"I invited him again to the AG Outlook Forum and he accepted," Perdue recently noted.

Villalobos joined Perdue and their then contemporary from Canada on a panel at the 2019 USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum back in February.  The Secretary is hopeful that a similar, and perhaps expanded, panel is part of the 2020 Forum.

"We hope to have what we're calling a Western Hemisphere AG 5 here at the Ag Outlook Forum," Perdue said.  "Our colleagues from Canada, Brazil, and Argentina; where we can continue to strategize over western hemisphere agricultural issues."

The theme of the February 20th-21st Outlook forum is the Innovation, Imperative, Shaping the Future of Agriculture.  Pre-registration for the 2020 forum is underway.  To learn more or to sign up visit the USDA's Website.
