UFW Endorses Kamala Harris For President

United Farm Workers announced late last week the endorsement of U.S. Senator Kamala Harris for President.  The UFW said they are inspired by her vision of a just and inclusive America, as well as her personal story.  UFW leadership says they are also impressed by “the confidence and strength she has shown in the face of attacks from Donald Trump".

The UFW added farm workers have benefited in a variety of ways because of Senator Harris, saying she the federal bill she authored provided overtime pay after eight hours a day for America’s farm workers.  She joined farm worker marches and the 2016 UFW convention.

UFW added, “We also support Senator Harris because of her bold leadership on immigrant rights, from championing genuine immigration reform to voting against funding for Trump’s cruel and useless wall.”
