Market Facilitation Program payments to eligible producers should be rolling out nationwide this week, that according to Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue.  He said the producers of eligible commodities will receive 25% of the total MFP payments for this year.  That's in addition to the 50% already issued for 2019.  Sign up for the second round of MFP payments will take place at local Farm Service Agency offices through December 6th.

But will farm country see a third round of MFP payments?

"I personally don't want us to get entitled for other Market facilitation payments," said Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue.  "I think farmers said from the very beginning, and I believe them, they'd rather have trade than aide and I'm hoping to get trade. So I'm hoping to get a trade deal that moves markets in a very positive way."
