Many farmers across the U.S. report struggling to find the needed workers to make their operation run.  Despite that, the latest USDA labor report says, at least during the middle of October (October 6th through the 12th) operators hired directly 809,000 workers, a 3% year over year increase.  And those farmers paid those workers an average wage 4% greater than reported in October 2018, at $15.02 an hour.
