Brazil has agreed to purchase products from outside of South America.  And the USDA's Ted McKinney said American wheat growers will be one of the main beneficiary.

"For many, many years brazil had been sitting on a 750,000 metric ton of wheat TRQ which is an allotment."

McKinney added Brazil in implementing its annual duty free tariff rate quota  on wheat imports.  What does that mean for American growers?
"For all countries of the world except the Mercosur, except their neighbors, who already have their allotment we can now bid we can now pursue, our piece, whatever we want, of that 750,000 metric tons.  When you look at the quality of us what look at the diverse types of wheat and certainly our logistics we're pretty efficient. I would say we'll get a decent share of that and that is great news."
