The Clore Center accepting nominations for the 2020 Legends of Washington Wine Hall of Fame.  Established in 2004, the Legends Gala honors the legacy Dr. Clore and his impact on the Washington wine industry.  The event has been the platform to celebrate individuals who have contributed significantly to the success and longevity of Washington's wine industry and to raise funds for the organization's ongoing efforts to promote Washington wine and agriculture.

 

The 2020 induction event will take place Friday, August 7th at the Clore Center in Prosser, and will include a reception, formal induction, program, live and silent auction and much more.

 

The 2020 inductee will be selected by a panel consisting of Hall of Fame members and Clore Center board members based on the following criteria in which they must: be a winemaker, winery owner, vineyard developer, grower, researcher, scientist, educator, mentor, philanthropist, or journalist; be a Washington resident for at least 25 years and involved in the Washington wine industry for at least 25 years (candidates may be working or retired); have impacted or made contributions to the Washington wine industry which have historical and lasting significance for future generations; and/or be viewed by others in the industry as a Legend, based on their impact and contributions to the Washington wine industry.

Each Legend is honored with a bronze plaque which is on display at the Clore Center for viewing daily.

 

To nominate a Legend, you are asked to review the nomination criteria and rules, and submit a completed nomination form and at least two letters of support by mail or E-mail.
