Last week, the Washington Farm Bureau announced state leadership for the upcoming year.  Mike LaPlant was re-elected President of the WSFB.  The Ephrata hay farmer has served as President since 2011; before being elected as president, LaPlant served the organization as Vice President of Policy Development.

Brad Haberman will continue to serve Washington Farm Bureau as state Vice President of Legislative Affairs.  The 4th-generation hay farmer from Kittitas County was first elected to state leadership in 2016 as the Vice President of Policy Development.

New to the board, Anne Lawrence was elected state Vice President of Policy Development.  She and her husband farm in Clark County providing CSA boxes with fresh produce for their community.

The officers were voted in by Farm Bureau members during the organization’s recent annual meeting in Wenatchee.  The Washington Farm Bureau currently has 46,000 member-families across the state of Washington.
