According to the USDA's Ted McKinney, there is business, and a lot of it, to be had with several countries in North Africa, as well as the Philippines, Spain, Portugal, Peru, United Arab Emirates and many others.   When recently announcing the USDA's 2020 trade mission agenda, he pointed out.

“Four of these are brand new,” McKinney noted.  “We know them. We've been there. But not with an Ag trade mission we we're trying to lift these up.”

And is some places that are established markets, McKinney said there is opportunity to expand and diversify American exports.

"That's consistent with the last couple of years, where we have focused on markets that we've known but just haven't spent a lot of time with."

According to USDA, 2019 led Ag trade missions include 240 companies participating in 3,200 one-on-one meetings with buyers generating over $78 million in projected sales.
