The Eastern Washington Ag Expo takes place Thursday and Friday at the Hapo Center in Pasco.  In addition to the vendors and great networking opportunities, this year’s Expo Luncheon will feature USDA Foreign Agriculture Service Administrator, Ken Isley, as the keynote speaker.  Colin Hastings with the Pasco Chamber said since Washington is such as trade dependent state, this luncheon could not come at a better time.

“Telling us what the market charges are through the globe will be very intriguing.  There’s a lot of that that’s been in the news with the Administration and trade policies that are changing, so I think having him here is extremely timely to really dig in as to how important our trade is.”

Hastings added this year’s Expo will include pesticide credits, the latest in Ag technology, seminars, including a free Youth for the Quality Care of Animals, or YQCA class.

“Which is a requirement for any of those that are in school that are showing and selling their livestock at auction.  And because of Double Arrow veterinary clinic, [the seminar] is free.”
