After 22 years as the Division 4 director of the Roza Irrigation district, David Minik has resigned, leading to an opening on the board.  The current term expires in January next year.  The person selected by the Yakima County Commissioners to fill the position must run for election later this year to serve out the term into early 2021.

 

Those 18 year of age, living in Division 4 interested in serving on the Roza Irrigation board must submit a letter of interested by January 22nd.

 

Minick served on the board during difficult times, including major droughts of 2001, 2005 & 2015.  He also saw the District pipe nearly 200 miles of open lateral canals and constructed a $31 million Wasteway 5 reregulation reservoir during his tenure on the Roza Board of Directors.
