Northwest Cattle On Feed Inventory Up Year-Over-Year

According to NASS, Cattle on Feed numbers increased in Washington and Idaho from last year.  The latest figures put 235,000 head on feed in Washington on January 1^st, 2020, an over 4% increase from January 2019 numbers, but a slight drop from figures reported on December 1^st.  And 300,000 head were reported in Idaho; while unchanged from December’s numbers, it was a 7% increase from January 1^st, 2019.

Nationally, Cattle on Feed hit 11.9 million on January 1^st, 2020, a 2% increase.
