Milk production numbers across the Northwest were mixed to wrap up 2019.  According to NASS, November production in Washington came in at 542 million pounds, unchanged from 2018’s numbers.  However, December numbers came in a 564 million pounds, a 0.5% year-over-year drop for Washington.

 

In Oregon, November milk production came in at 209 million pounds, up 1% from November of 2018.  December numbers for Oregon were unchanged at 217 million pounds.

 

According to NASS, Idaho reported year-over-year increases in both months, with November’s production coming in at 1.27 billion pounds, up 3.6%.  On top of that, December milk production hit 1.31 billion pounds, a 3.2% increase from December 2018.
