The USDA is officially launching the third and final traunch of 2019 Market Facilitation Program payments.  As President Trump recently pointed out, the payments are aimed at helping farmers who are suffering damage from trade losses.

“To defend our farmers I authorized $28 billion,” President Trump mentioned at the AFBF annual convention in Austin, TX

So, what can farmers expect?

“We created at $16 million support package on top of the $12 billion package from 2018 to try to tide you over,” said Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue.

Payments are expected to start showing up in farmers' bank accounts by the end of this week.  Because of the signing on Phase One and USMCA, Perdue says farmers should not to expect a similar program this year.
