During this week’s State of The Union address, some in the farming community were critical of President Trump for not addressing the concerns and issues facing farm country.  Central Washington’s Dan Newhouse, a farmer himself said the President emphasized trade agreements with Japan, China and USMCA, which he said will greatly benefit farmers now and well into the future.

“Honestly, I did not feel slighted by the message that Mr. Trump talked a lot about.  You know, as far as our economy is going, our unemployment is down, and jobs are being created, and you know, personal incomes are up, and all of those sorts of things.”

Newhouse says the Ag community remains a priority for the Trump Administration, and with the Impeachment over, he’s confident D.C. can focus on issues that will benefit farmers across the Northwest and across the country.
