The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has confirmed one wolf depredation, and one probable depredation in Baker County.

ODFW was called to private timber land on February 16th.  When they arrived, Investigators found a dead yearling steer as well as an injured two-year-old bull.  ODFW also found fresh wolf tracks at the scene.

Investigators say the steer was largely consumed and only a small piece of the hide remained.  Due to injuries, the bull was euthanized.

This month’s depredation has been attributed to the Keating Pack.
