The 16th annual Wenatchee Ag Safety Day takes place Wednesday the 26th at the Convention Center downtown.  Dominique Damian Safety Director for the Washington Farm Bureau said this event will include speakers from the University of Washington, the private sector, workshops, networking and much more.  She added they really try to touch on as many aspects of the agriculture industry as they can.

“Field safety, all the way through processing, even product moving safety.  We have topics this year such as toxicology and forklift safety, ladder safety, tractor safety.”

This is the second Ag Safety Day of the year, the first took place earlier this month in the Tri-Cities.

Damian said year after year, they continue to have great response and great turnout.  She added since farming, technology and equipment evolve very quickly, it’s very common for producers to attend on an annual basis.

“Because we’re always bringing new information, and the most up-to-date information.  Finding new speakers, new topics, everything we can do to stay up to date.”

Damian stressed regardless of commodity, the Ag Safety Day is a great event for producers across the Inland Northwest.  Click Here to learn more.
