According to NASS, cattle on feed in the Northwest remains unchanged for the most part. In Washington the 230,000 head were in feedlots as of February 1st unchanged year over year, and down roughly 2% from January’s numbers. In Idaho, feedlot numbers increased to 300,000, a 9% year over year increase, but unhcnaged from January 2020.

Nationally, feed lot numbers held steady from January to February at 11.9 million head, a nearly 2%year over year increase.
