During a recent visit to the House Ag Committee, Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue pointed out how American farmers have grown and adapted over the past 75 years. Perdue said the progress made in the field has been phenomenal, including productivity.

“Reducing it’s environmental footprint, doing more with less, actually, less arable acres, 10% less acres and a 400% increase, that’s a real miracle that we don’t talk about a lot.  I’m going to be talking more about it.”

Perdue dubbed the progress made since 1945 as the Miracle of American Agriculture.
