Last week, Idaho Governor Brad Little signed legislation sending just under $400,000 to the state Wolf Depredation Control Board to kill problem wolves. The legislation taps money in the state’s general fund to address wolves that prey on livestock or wildlife. The WDCB has agreements with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and the USDA’s Wildlife Services to kill wolves.

Fish and Game killed 17 wolves in northern Idaho in February that were killing elk.
