Oil prices are currently trading at the lowest levels we’ve seen in roughly two decades. As of Monday afternoon, West Texas Crude was trading around $20 per barrel, a significant drop from over $47 price we saw to start the month of March.

Prices have been forced down over recent months because of the spread of corona virus and its negative impact on global economies first in China, then in Europe and now in the United States. Making that situation worse, Saudi Arabia, and Russia continue their price war, putting even more downward pressure oil prices.

That pressure is reflected in diesel prices.

Currently, the national average is down six cents in the past week to $2.60 a gallon, the Washington average dropped nine cents this week to $2.96, Oregon’s price fell 11 cents to $2.88 a gallon, while Idaho’s price slipped 11 cents to $2.74.

Here are some of the lowest local prices we could find
around the Northwest:

  • $2.56 a gallon in Tri-Cities
  • $2.59 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $2.39 a gallon in Quincy
  • $2.89 a gallon in Pullman
  • $2.59 a gallon in Lewiston
  • $2.39 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $2.19 a gallon in Pendleton
  • $2.87 a gallon in Walla Walla
  • $2.39 a gallon in Yakima
