As local, state and federal agencies look to help hungry kids during the coronavirus pandemic, Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue highlighted one of the Department's relatively new programs; Meals to You.

"You've probably already heard about the program that we collaborated with on Meals for You," Perdue noted. "Public/private partnership with the Baylor Collaborative on hunger and poverty along with private sector partners McClain Global and Pepsi Co. that has committed to deliver nearly one million meals per week to children living in rural area across the country."

He noted the USDA agency involved is the Food and Nutrition Service.

So the team at FNS working day and night to ensure the states have the flexbilities they need to feed these children and serve others facing hunger issues during this unprecedented time. All across the country Americans are stepping up to the plate both publicly and privately in a range of different ways to ensure that all of our low-income children have access to food."
