July 1st. That’s when USMCA is scheduled to go on the books.

"This agreement is historic in many ways, easily making it the biggest agreement in history," said U.S. Trade Representative, Robert Lighthizer.

He recently notified congress that Canada and Mexico have taken measures necessary to comply with their USMCA commitments, and our nation’s other USMCA partners that the US has fulfilled its own procedures to implement the agreement. Among the highlights for the United States:

"We have secured greater market access for out farmers and ranchers," Lighthizer noted. "We’ve also agreed to a first of its kind review and termination provision which will ensure that the USMCA will not become unbalanced and out of date. New provisions designed to eliminate unfair trade practices."
