Barn Fire Kills Ten Horses Near Royal City

Grant County fire fighters were called to a barn fire that killed ten horses Saturday morning. Crews arrived at the Dodson Rd. location outside of Royal City around 4:30 a.m. to find the 60’x120’ barn engulfed. The cause of Saturday’s fire has yet to be determined.

No human injuries were reported.
