ODFW: Confirms Wolf Depredation in SW Oregon

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says a wolf killed a 650 pound yearling steer in Klamath County earlier this week. Investigators were called out to 80 acres of private grassland where the steer was found dead. ODFW said most of the muscle tissue and hide on the upper hindquarters and right shoulder were consumed. Investigators says teeth and scrape marks are consistent to that of a wolf attack. ODFW had attributed the depredation to the Rogue Pack.

This is the 7^th confirmed depredation of the year, but ODFW noted seven attacks are possible depredations, but have not been confirmed one way or another.
