Oil recorded some of their highest prices of the past couple of months during Monday’s trade. West Texas Crude increased $2.57, or 8.7% in Monday’s action, to close at $32.01; the highest price recorded since March 16th.

The optimism was spurred by more and more countries easing restrictions put in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus. It’s too early to tell what this increase will do to the price we pay at our neighborhood stations, but industry experts say we should expect higher fuel prices in the coming days.

The national average for a gallon on diesel slipped one cent this week to $2.41 a gallon, Washington’s average help steady at $2.66 a gallon, Oregon’s diesel prices inched down one cent to $2.55, while Idaho’s price increased one cent to $2.35 a gallon.

Here are some of the lowest diesel prices we could find across the Inland Northwest:

  • $2.32 a gallon in the Tri-Cities
  • $2.19 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $2.48 a gallon in Pullman
  • $2.21 a gallon in Lewiston
  • $2.09 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $2.23 a gallon in Pendleton
  • $2.59 a gallon in Walla Walla
  • $2.19 a gallon in Yakima
