The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Sunday they say could be responsible for bee hive thefts from across the Northwest. Perry David Bayes, 56, faces a variety of charges, including possession of stolen property. The Sheriff’s Office said Bayes may have stolen hives from as many as 30 victims across the region, including Montana and California.

Investigators said the value of the beehives found near Almira this weekend is more than $18,000, but the that figure could be as high as $200,000 when looking at those 30 other victims.
