For producers that don't see their commodity listed as an eligible commodity covered under the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program, C-FAP, the message is "don't give up just yet".

"These are the initial crops that were identified through the program however, USDA is accepting additional commodities through a NOFA process. The NOFA is a Notice of Funds Availability," said Patrice Hill, FSA Director of Outreach.

She noted the NOFA process is a request for more information.

"It gives producers an opportunity to submit data and information, pricing information, on additional commodities that were not included."

Producers have until June 22nd to submit pricing data on crops not listed in the first round on-line.

"We don't want people to think, "Oh well, my commodity isn't listed so oh well I don't qualify.' There is still that opportunity."
