WDFW Removes Member Of Wedge Pack

On Monday, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife announced the lethal removal of an adult, non-breeding female member of the Wedge wolf pack. The Department says this pack has repeatedly preyed on cattle on public and private grazing lands in Stevens County.

On Thursday, WDFW Director Kelly Susewind authorized the removal of a wolf from the Wedge pack after five confirmed depredations over the previous 30 days. On top of that WDFW confirmed two additional depredations after last week's announcement; bringing the total number of documented depredations by the Wedge pack to 11 incidents resulting in three dead livestock and 11 injured livestock since May 11th.
