July turned out to be a very busy moth for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Investigators were called out to two spate depredations in the For Klamath area of southern Oregon Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, July 30th, crews were called to a depredation that occurred on private grass pasture in the Fort Klamath area, where a 725 pound yearling steer was found severely injured. That cow died later in the day. Meanwhile the depredation on Friday, July 31st, involved an 800 pound yearling steer in a private pasture also in the Fort Klamath area.

Both depredations have been attributed to the Rouge Pack.

Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife crews were called to 11 depredations during the month of July, eight of which occurred in the eastern portion of the state.
