It takes innovation to present beef products to consumers in more ways, and in recent years, one way that has taken form is new cuts of beef.

"We found that we can make different cuts or different sizes different portions different applications that the consumer enjoys and wants to use in their daily lives," said Hugh Sandberg with the Cattlemen's Beef Board.

And the last two years has seen technology offer consumers information and advice regarding beef products and preparation. The CBB's Jared Brackett  said their interactive, "Chuck Knows Beef," is geared to tech savvy consumers on their smart phones.

"Most of them are really successful really like that ability to have that artificial intelligence that they can talk to and ask. And the best part about it is not just the Millennials that are getting the hang of it. We're getting older people that are starting to figure out that they this is something that works well. And it's so easy to just turn the app on and go, "Chuck how do I do this?" or, "Chuck how do I do that?" And it's very, very friendly. "
