The 47th annual Hermiston Farm Fair will be online this year due to the pandemic. Oregon State University’s Silvia Rondon said they have had to overcome some challenges doing the event remotely, but she still thinks they will provide excellent information.

“I think this virtuality is really going to give us the opportunity to reach out to a larger audience. Usually we have around 500 people attending our three-day in-person event. Being online and working on so much PR through social media, all the different variants, I think it will really open the doors for extending our reach beyond the Pacific Northwest.”

Rondon added they have a wide variety of programs and topics to cover this year, including potatoes, hemp and much more.

“The topic is really agriculture and what happened during the 2020 growing season. As everybody knows this has been a very different year compared to others. We try to focus on the topics that are important for our regional growers.”

The virtual Hermiston Farm Fair will take place December 2nd through the 4th. Click Here to learn more about this year's Fair or to register.
