With the November general election behind us, the USDA is reminding all eligible farmers and ranchers to check their mailbox for another important ballot. Voting is now open for the 2020 USDA Farm Service Agency County Committee elections.

"Now through December 7th farmers and ranchers and eligible administrative areas can cast their votes for who will serve on their local FSA committee," noted FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce.

He added Committee members serve three year terms of office, and the local input they provide helps USDA make decisions on what services farmers need and want.

"County Committees are unique to FSA and serve as a direct link between agricultural communities across the country and USDA."

In order to be eligible to vote, producers must participate in, cooperate with, or provide information to an FSA program. To learn more, or to have your questions answered, contact your local FSA office, or visit the FSA's Website.
