"We have 2,700 county farm bureaus across the country and field reps from state farm bureaus there and we worked hard with those county leaders to get used to using Zoom. I mean we actually had to have 1600 country farm bureau presidents on a Zoom call the President of the United States one time."

American Farm Bureau President, Zippy Duvall, recently participated in a virtual panel organized by Reuters.

"Our biggest challenge is broadband," Duvall noted. "We still got 25% of our people that doesn't have broadband coverage and a huger percentage of the ones that do have it it's not reliable, including myself."

Duvall added it wasn't easy for him to participate in the panel discussion.

"I'm sitting in my brother's house a mile away from my house because I can't get it at my house. So, it's a huge challenge and we got to figure out how we're gonna move forward if we're gonna be expected to do business this way extended periods of time," Duvall continued.
