The Auction of Washington Wines’ "Bid for Bottles - Holiday Edition" is currently taking place on-line. AWW Executive Director Jamie Peha said the new event provides the opportunity to showcase a host of Washington wineries, with proceeds supporting Washington State University Viticulture & Enology Research as well as Seattle Children's.

"We felt we were in a position to be able to do our part here on three levels," Peha noted. "First, in elevating the Washington Wine industry. Second, with our 33-year, long-term relationship with Seattle Children's, and then giving back directly to the industry through Washington State University.”

Since its inception in 1988, AWW has raised more than $52 million for Seattle Children's and wine research.

"So there's more than 100 lots for people to bid on, and there's a lot of affordable lots." Peha continued, "It really ranges starting at $50 all the way up to a few thousand. So there's really something for everyone that loves wine, or wants to give the gift of wine."

Normally AWW's last auction is in August, but she noted it's been hard to meet fundraising levels this year due to COVID-19 restrictions moving everything online. So a holiday edition was needed.

The online auction runs through December 3rd. Click Here for more information.
