After days of dense fog and Air Stagnation Advisories, many across the Northwest were happy to see a system roll across the region late Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning. And while weak, it was enough to push fog out of the area and reveal occasional clear skies. Hopefully you were able to enjoy it, because according to meteorologist Marilyn Lohmann, the stagnate weather is expected to return for the remainder of the workweek. She said we won’t see much activity until this weekend.

And she expects that active weather pattern to continue into the heart of December.

“Above normal temperatures and above normal precipitation are expected, so, maybe not the cold snowy type of precipitation but at this point, any precipitation is good for a lot of the area.”

Lohmann noted that while she is expecting some snow in the second half of the month, most of it will remain in the higher elevations.
