Valent is out with a new line of products with the Northwest tree fruit industry in mind. Jesse Rosales said now is an exciting time at Valent, and for 2021 they’ve launched a post emergent herbicide, Perpetuo, as well as a Senstar, which he described as a two-way insecticide.

“It’s a really good, soft bodied insecticide. Excalia, it’s a fungicide based off of a new active ingredient called indoflyn.  So, it’s another tool for palm fruit in the Northwest, for powdery mildew control.”

Rosales noted that Senstar, is good for aphid as well as pear psylla control. He added customer service, and the goals of the growers are the center of what Valent is all about.

“So, with the products that we’re introducing you can see what we’re really trying to do is improve plant performance, and also make the grower’s lives a little bit easier.  So, you can see that all the way from our relationships that our sales reps have with retailers, distributors, growers alike.  They are not only there to provide some recommendations on how to use our products, but in general provide some good agronomic advice as well.”
