The month of March came in like a lamb, which for many was a welcomed change after several large snow events and windy conditions to wrap up February. National Weather Service meteorologist Marilyn Lohmann says this calm weather is expected to stick around through the weekend, with isolated mountain showers returning for the weekend.

The big question for the Ag community:  Will we see more snow in the coming weeks?

"We’re looking at some cooler temperatures again, but the systems coming through are kind of falling apart as they reach the coast leaving the bulk of the precipitation over on the westside which is somewhat typical.  So, mainly a few showers.”

Lohmann noted while the air temperatures will be cool, soil temperatures are warming up nicely across the Northwest.
