Idaho Wheat To Host Direct Seed Workshop On Thursday

In perhaps a sign of a return to normalcy, the Idaho Wheat Commission will hold an in person workshop Thursday in Idaho Falls, focused on Direct Seed techniques.

“We will talk about fertility and drilling options and different machinery options," said Casey Chumrau, Executive Director of Idaho Wheat. "And there will be really good interaction between experts and researchers and growers.”

Chumrau added more and more Idaho growers are interested in learning the ins and outs of direct seed.

“You know it’s something as we move forward and consumers are more concerned about the sustainable farming practices it’s something that really the industry is getting pushed toward.  So definitely something our growers are interested in learn more about.”
