USDA has re-opened the application period for the Coronavirus Food and Assistance Program or CFAP 2.

"That was re-opened on April 5th for at least 60 days and the original sign up period ended December 11th," said Zach Ducheneaux, FSA Administrator. "There were some gaps and some adjustments that needed to be made to fill those gaps in the way the program was closed out in December. And we wanted to take a look at the way payments were going to go out and make sure that we're being more inclusive and creating a better sense of equity across the country and across agriculture production in general."

For producers that need more information, he recommended that you visit their Farmers.gov Website for a full list of eligible commodities, and as you can visit Farmers.gov farmers.gov/cfap for details about program enrollment and program participation. Some producers, Ducheneaux noted, in the ongoing pandemic assistance have already received payments.
